Hollowmere

★★★★★ 4.5 Editor rating

Hollowmere is a mood piece as much as a game. You explore a slowly emptying seaside town, tap to examine things, and piece together what happened to the people who left. There's no combat, just curiosity and a lot of atmosphere.

The puzzles are gentle and logical, the kind where the answer feels obvious once you've looked in the right place. It never resorts to obtuse moon-logic, which I appreciated. Progress feels steady.

It's a short game, maybe three hours, but it stays with you. The hand-drawn art and muted colour palette make every screen feel like a painting you can walk into.
